Making Informed Decisions When Voting

Making a decision is part of everyday life. You may not notice it most of the time, but there are choices you make that have gone through the decision-making process. But there are certain things you have to decide on that may require a more thorough and thoughtful approach. Things like electing leaders that would shape local or national policies can have potential effects, either directly or indirectly, to your life. Learning how to make decisions you can live with can help you achieve the results you want to see. Here are some ideas on to be better at making decisions.

1. Make it visual. Decision mapping allows you to explore the range of options available to you. It provides you with a visual diagram of your thought process, which can help in coming up with the best decision given the problem at hand. The decision mapping process gives you time to deliberate on the choices available to you. This makes it easier to see and pick one that offers the best possible solutions for you.

2. Weigh the pros and cons. Being decisive does not mean making decisions impulsively. You have to take the time to consider the advantages and disadvantages before taking calculated risks to settle on the best one you can find given your unique circumstances. Write down the pros and cons, think about potential risks, and consider possible outcomes before making your decision.

3. Do your research. Do you research and talk to people who can provide you with more insights. Getting the facts, data, or information you need helps you make better decisions.

4. Avoid overthinking. Decide as soon as you have all the facts and information you need. Avoid spending too much time overthinking or second-guessing yourself. Set a deadline for every decision you need to make.

5. See the big picture. Keep an open mind and do not lose sight of the big picture. Imagine the potential impact of your decision.

6. Stay firm with your decision. Stick to your decision unless you find evidence that support the need to change it. Do not be easily swayed by opposing views or other people’s opinions. Do what you have to do to support your decisions.

7. Review and evaluate. Evaluating the results of your decisions can help you glean important lessons that could prove useful in the long run. Assess what works and what improvements you may need to make to come up with better decisions in the future.

Reasons To Vote Whenever Possible

vote

Admit it or not, voting can be quite daunting. There’s that fear where the choice we make will turn out to be the opposite and what other people say it is.

But you know what?

Admit it or not, voting can also be quite delighting. There’s that fear where the choice we make will turn out to be the exact and what other people say it isn’t.

And you know what?

Voting doesn’t have to be about a person being elected in the office. It could be about a thing we’ve always wanted to have, which makes our fear even more tolerable when it happens. It could also be about a circumstance we’ve always dreaded to have, which makes our fear even more indispensable when it happens.

That being said, here are some reasons to vote whenever possible:

It’s for you to learn how to be more resourceful.

Voting for someone to be elected in the office requires one to do a significant amount of research. This goes the same way for any other choices you have to make in life. This is not just for you to be more aware on what’s happening around you and what is yet to happen around you, but also for you to be more careful on the pros and cons of that choice you’re planning to make and the advantage and disadvantages of that choice you’re not planning to make in order for you to come up with the best choice you can make.

It’s for you to learn how to be more objective.

Just because you voted for that someone to be elected in the office doesn’t mean that person is the right choice. This goes the same way for any other choices you have to make in life. Always remember, what works for you may not work for others. Also remember, what works for others may not work for you. It’s the reality of life, no matter what choice you’re planning to make for the better. It’s also the reality of life, no matter for what aspect you’re planning to change for the better. Being more objective is also the least you can do for others who are doing their best to change something for the better.

Do you know any other reasons to vote whenever possible? Let us know in the comments section below!

On another hand, here’s a new way to get unlimited gems for COC – the only kind of choice I’m sure everyone would love to make without the need to become more resourceful and the only kind of choice I’m sure everyone would love to make without having to become more objective.

Buying A Handheld Game Console

Let’s face it.

Nothing in life is probably more awesome than having your own handheld game console. You see, playing video games is not just about having fun; it’s also about strategizing things in a clean way. You also see, playing video games is not just about being relaxed; it’s also about organizing things in a clear way.

Thus, it’s only right for you to give it a lot of thought before purchasing one.

You won’t need one that only fits a specific aspect of video games instead of your own need, would you? You also don’t want one that only fits a specific aspect of game consoles rather than your own preference, do you?

That being said, here are some tips for you when buying a handheld game console:

Make sure that your games are compatible with it.

Just like how some programs are only allowed to run on desktop mode and how some applications are only allowed to work on mobile mode, some games are also only allowed to run on a specific type of handheld game console. If you’re looking to play games like Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization, which was released last year in October by Aquria and Bandai Namco Entertainment, Inc., then you’ll need a PlayStation Vita. If you’re looking to play games like Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, which was also released last year in November by Game Freak and Nintendo Co. Ltd., then you’ll need a Nintendo 3DS.

Make sure that your console is compatible with you.

Just like how some tools are only used by those with certain skills and how some materials are only used for those with definite purposes, some consoles are also only used by those with specific preferences on a handheld game console. If you’re looking to play games in 3D-like mode, just like that of 2013’s The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Two Worlds by Nintendo EAD and Nintendo Co. Ltd., then you’ll want a Nintendo 3DS. If you’re looking to play games in PC-like mode, just like that of 2013’s Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance by PlatinumGames, Inc. and Konami Digital Entertainment, then you’ll want a Shield Portable.

choosing

If you think our right to vote is only meant to be exercised during the election season, think again.

You see, voting can also be applied when choosing the right kind of materials to use when renovating your home. You also see, voting can be applied when choosing the right kind of tools to use when refining your work. You even see, voting can be applied when choosing the right kind of store to patronize when buying a product.

But you know what? It doesn’t just end with choosing the best option for all those mentioned above.

Voting is also deemed an art, which you can only master if you learn how to:

Be Keen

And by this, it means being keen enough to notice the little details. This includes materials for renovation that may have been compromised when it comes to quality. This also includes tools for refining that may have been compromised when it comes to efficiency. This even includes stores for patronizing that may have been compromised when it comes to reliability.

Be Patient

This especially goes during the initial phase of choosing, where you get choose from a wide range of options. To vote for the right one, you need to be patient. You need to be patient with yourself, as you canvass on multiple providers just like your competitors. You need to be patient with suppliers, as they canvass on multiple stocks just like you. You need to be patient with consumers, as they canvass on multiple options just like you do just like your suppliers. Most of all, you need to be patient with best one, as you continue learning more about your craft as you look for it.

Be Fair

And by this, it means being fair enough to choose the right one. It doesn’t need to be the best one out here. It also doesn’t need to be the most striking out there. It doesn’t even need to be the greatest one out there. It just needs to be the right one – the one that fits your needs perfectly, as well as the one that fits your preferences seamlessly.

How about you?

How do you think voting can be truly mastered? Or better yet, how do you think voting can be truly mastered by you?

Voting and Peer Pressure: Sticking to Your Decision

November 9, 2016 • savervote

vote

Some people’s choices are influenced by peers or popular opinion for varied reasons. Those who do not want to stand out tend to make decisions based on how people around them choose. There is nothing wrong in discussing politics and election related topics with others. But it can be a problem if it means giving up your right to explore options and ideas before electing leaders into positions that could potentially impact not just your future but millions of others.

Peer Pressure and Influence

Positive and negative peer pressure is all about influencing thoughts, decisions, and behaviors. It is the results, however, that separate the good and the bad of peer pressure. Negative peer pressure can lead to decisions and behaviors that are contrary to your beliefs, core values, and instincts. The outcomes usually do not bring a sense of satisfaction of fulfillment in your life.

Most, if not all, people are exposed to positive and negative influence on a daily basis. If you take a closer look at the people around you, there will be those who inspire positive behaviors in you while there others that may try to influence you to think or act against your own principles. Finding ways to avoid peer pressure when making important decisions is critical.

Handling Differences in Views

Here are some ways to deal with differences of views and opinions without giving up your right to choose freely.

1. Follow your internal compass. Stay true to yourself can help you stand up to even the most intense form of peer pressure. You can avoid negative influence when you honor your values and have a clear idea of the principles you live by. You acknowledge your own individuality and respect yourself enough not to give in to negative influences that could make you betray your own belief system.

2. Review and reflect on your choices. Decisiveness is not about acting rashly. Before making any decision, take time to consider the consequences. Some people will try to influence your decisions to suit theirs. You do not have to jump in any bandwagon to please others.

3. Think of what matters to you. Ask yourself if giving in peer pressure can help you sleep well at night. Think of the things that you stand for and the things that matter to you. Consider how your choices can impact you and others around you.

4. Maintain boundaries. There will always be people around you who will try to challenge your beliefs and decisions. You do not have to engage in ugly conflicts and arguments just to prove a point. Stay respectful but maintain your personal boundary. Stick to your decision without putting pressure on others to accept your views.
